oh the joy of watching a friend's family grow... katie and i met years ago at camp... 

besides play dates we sometimes meet up for photo shoots...

i had such a fun time meeting up with these two!   excited for their upcoming wedding... 

{it's a boy!} gender reveal shoot

it was a last minute thing... they had the ultrasound sealed at home... do they open it?  

a couple of facebook messages later i picked up the envelope and looked inside...

then i made a stop to get balloons and filled the box... 

the family met me and with the camera ready opened the box...

this was SO MUCH fun!

when i met alex he kept it simple when asked about katie,

 " ... i am very lucky.  let's just say that."

lucky indeed and on a sunny summer day these two made the promise of all their earthly days... here's a peek... 

i think i like "dad's first look"  more than grooms... 

it's hard to tell, but katie's dress was her mom's... they just got rid of the 80's in it... it was beautiful
